Albertsons Swaps CFOs and Stacks Its Board With Grocery, Lowe's, and Data-Center Muscle
Cody Perdue steps in as interim CFO while Sharon McCollam exits the role, and three new directors, pulled from Food Lion, Lowe's, and a data-center operator, join the board this month.

Albertsons named Cody Perdue interim CFO effective immediately, handing the finance seat to a 13-year company veteran who was already running treasury, investor relations, and risk management. He takes over from Sharon McCollam, who is stepping back from the president and CFO roles but will stick around in an advisory capacity through the fiscal year ending February 2027 while the company runs a search for a permanent replacement. "Cody is a highly respected finance leader with a deep understanding of Albertsons and a strong record of helping guide our financial strategy," CEO Susan Morris said, which is the corporate way of saying: promote from inside, do not spook anyone.
The company is doing more than patching the CFO chair. Three new directors join the board on October 14, expanding it from 11 to 14 members: Meg Ham, the former Food Lion president who delivered 50 straight quarters of comparable-store sales growth; Bill Boltz, Lowe's EVP of merchandising with a resume that runs through The Home Depot and Sears; and Chris Drumgoole, the COO of Aligned Data Centers who spent years as CIO at General Electric.
Put the two moves together and the message is clear: Albertsons wants steadier hands on the finance side and sharper instincts on merchandising, supply chain, and technology at the board level, all at once, without a single outside hire anywhere near the C-suite.
