Arby's Poaches Papa John's Former CMO to Rebuild Its Marketing Meat

Arby's has named Jenna Bromberg its new chief marketing officer, effective November 2, putting her in charge of all marketing for a chain that has leaned hard into personalized, food-centered storytelling to fight for share in a crowded sandwich category. Arby's brand president David Graves said Bromberg "brings a powerful blend of creative brand-building and commercial leadership," while Bromberg described the move on LinkedIn as "a marketer's dream," pointing to Arby's willingness to challenge category norms as the draw.

Bromberg spent just under two years as CMO of Papa John's, where she oversaw a Toy Story 5 tie-in with Disney and Pixar before departing in August. Earlier stops include senior marketing roles at Yum! Brands, Carter's, and Hilton, giving her a resume that spans fast food, kids' apparel, and hospitality.

She inherits a brand mid-reinvention. Arby's, owned by Inspire Brands alongside Dunkin', Baskin-Robbins, Buffalo Wild Wings, Jimmy John's, and Sonic, has spent this year promoting menu items with reality TV star Caleb McDaniel and rolling out a loyalty program with Angie Katsanevas, while its parent company weighs an IPO. Bromberg's job is to make sure the next round of attention-grabbing moves actually builds the brand, not just the headline.
