Celine borrows Reebok's 1982 Freestyle Lo
The luxury house reworked the sneaker in eight colorways, sold on both brands' websites from September 10.

Celine and Reebok released a reimagined Freestyle Lo on September 10, according to The Zoe Report. The shoe traces to Reebok's 1982 original and arrives in eight colorways on both brands' websites.
Selling on both sites is the tell. A collaboration that lives on one brand's storefront is a licensing deal with better lighting. One that lives on two is a shared product with two audiences, and each brand gets to borrow what it lacks. Reebok gets fashion credibility. Celine gets a sneaker with a real backstory.
The Freestyle Lo rewards that trade. It comes with a history a design team cannot invent, and a fashion house can only add polish and price. Whether the polish justifies the markup is a question the shopper answers at checkout, and the coverage we found did not list a price, so check before you compare.
Eight colorways also hints at confidence. A brand testing the waters ships two. A brand that expects demand ships a palette.
