Beau Joie has brought Christina Aguilera on as a stakeholder and Global Creative Director, adding another celebrity name to a beverage category that has been collecting them for a decade. The announcement came in Las Vegas from Toast Spirits, the Las Vegas-based owner and importer of the Champagne label, which did not disclose the size of the stake or the financial terms.

Aguilera is expected to shape the brand's image and marketing as Beau Joie pushes "Bubble Better," a campaign built around its low- and no-added-sugar cuvées. The company said it wants to build awareness with consumers, retailers, distributors, and younger Champagne buyers.

The structure matters more than the name. An endorsement deal buys attention for the length of the contract; equity plus a creative title buys a reason for the talent to keep showing up after the launch coverage fades. The celebrity spirits playbook has already sorted itself into those two tiers, and distributors know the difference.

The product angle is the sharper part of the strategy. Low- and no-added-sugar positioning gives a Champagne brand something to argue about besides provenance, and it maps neatly onto the wellness-inflected drinking habits of exactly the younger buyers Beau Joie says it wants. Champagne is a category that sells occasion; "Bubble Better" tries to sell permission.

The risk is the one every celebrity-backed label runs. Distribution, not fame, decides whether a bottle gets poured, and a crowded shelf of famous names has trained retailers to ask what the brand does when the press cycle ends.
