Delta's First-Ever Brand Campaign Sells Wagyu Burgers and $200 Cabernet at 38,000 Feet
After two years of R&D, Delta is finally putting a campaign behind Delta One, converging new suites, new food, and new sleep into one pitch.

Delta Air Lines just launched the first dedicated brand campaign in its history for Delta One, its premium long-haul cabin, originally introduced in 2015. Chief Marketing and Product Officer Ranjan Goswami told Fortune, "We spent two years building this product. We're now ready to launch it," and described the pitch to The Points Guy as three things, the suite, the food and beverage program, and the sleep experience, "converging together." Upgraded food and beverage lands next month on long-haul routes out of Los Angeles, including Auckland and Brisbane, with new lie-flat suites on the Airbus A350-1000 following in early 2027 on Asia and Middle East routes.
The specifics are doing most of the persuading here: Wagyu beef burgers, seasonal risotto, a Champagne Taittinger sorbet pairing, $200 bottles of Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon, Blanton's bourbon, individual pepper grinders, and a spout-equipped teapot, plus Bombas socks and Missoni pillows. Roughly half of existing Delta One cabins already have privacy doors, a share set to climb to 60%, and the Porsche fleet ferrying high-value passengers to the gate is expanding from 40 to 70 cars.
Delta's premium ticket revenue was up 18%, to $6.82 billion, in the September quarter, which is the actual reason this campaign exists. The real test isn't the Wagyu burger, it's whether two years of R&D and a first-ever brand campaign can survive the gap between "we spent two years building this" and a traveler's lived experience of the cabin they finally fly. Promising a product that "finally lives up to the pitch" is also an open invitation for every reviewer to go check.
