Dior Didn't Just Win Paris Fashion Week, It Basically Was Paris Fashion Week
New social data shows Dior alone drove 91% of the city's year-over-year earned media growth during the spring 2027 shows, which raises an uncomfortable question for everyone else on the calendar.

New data from social analytics firm Lefty and agency Karla Otto shows just how lopsided Paris Fashion Week's spring 2027 shows really were. Across the Instagram window tracked from September 28 to October 7, Paris generated $795.8 million in earned media value, up 59% year over year. Strip out Dior alone, and that growth collapses to 6.3%, meaning one house accounted for 91% of the city's entire year-over-year gain. Of the 62 brands Lefty tracked across the spring 2026 and 2027 seasons, only 28 grew; the median change was a decline of 11%.
Dior's own number, $360 million in earned media value, dwarfed the rest of the leaderboard: Schiaparelli came in at $63.5 million, Chanel at $56.7 million, Miu Miu at $46.1 million, and Louis Vuitton at $37.5 million. More than half of that Dior total, 56%, traces back to just two Thai actresses, Orm Kornnaphat and Lingling Kwong, whose posts (and their beauty teams' co-posts) outperformed nearly everyone else on the show calendar. A makeup artist and a hairstylist, Homeless Makeup and Sarawut Lapa, also ranked among the top four Paris profiles by engagement.
The attention is translating into actual demand, not just impressions: searches for Dior's Book Tote are up 133% year over year since creative director Jonathan Anderson's version of the bag arrived in January, and resale platform Fashionphile has seen buyers pay above retail for pieces from other houses entirely. For an industry still arguing over whether runway virality means anything for sales, Dior's spring 2027 season is turning into the closest thing to a controlled experiment.
