Dog Haus Stacks the Bench: Craft-Casual Chain Hires a Full Marketing C-Suite

Dog Haus has spent 2026 opening restaurants. Now it is buying the marketing muscle to keep pace with them.

The Pasadena-based craft casual chain named restaurant and consumer-brand executive James Field as chief marketing officer, and promoted long-time brand steward CJ Ramirez to chief experience officer. Field is not arriving alone: three senior marketers are joining with him, a rare wholesale import of a leadership team into a franchise system of Dog Haus' size.

Field previously served as chief innovation officer at Jersey Mike's, was CMO of L.A. Libations and led foodservice marketing for Cholula through the run-up to its acquisition by McCormick. At Dog Haus he takes full-funnel marketing, positioning, social and digital, partnerships and franchisee communications.

"Welcoming James from the C-suite at Jersey Mike's to the C-suite at Dog Haus is a game-changing addition for our brand," said CEO Michael Montagano.

Clare Baños joins as EVP of marketing after leadership roles at Pernod Ricard, where she ran brands including Absolut, plus earlier stops at General Mills and Cholula. Jeremy Fletcher, Field's former innovation counterpart at Jersey Mike's, becomes VP of creative and innovation. Catalina Uribe takes VP of off-premise and logistics, owning third-party delivery marketplaces, the Dog Haus app and Haus Rewards.

Ramirez's résumé reads like a different era of the business: the launch team for the Latino division of Chiat/Day, McCann Erickson's Moscow office on the Kodak account, senior brand roles at Sun Microsystems. As chief experience officer he will work across functions on franchisee success and brand stewardship.

"Dog Haus has always challenged convention, and that's exactly what makes this opportunity so exciting," Field said. Founded in 2010 by Hagop Giragossian, Quasim Riaz and André Vener, the brand now runs more than 50 US locations and opened its first international restaurant in Mérida, Mexico in June.
