Givenchy revives the Shark Pinch boot under Sarah Burton
Six new versions arrived September 3 at $2,550 to $2,690, with Kaia Gerber in the campaign.

Givenchy is betting on a cult favorite. On September 3, creative director Sarah Burton reimagined the Shark Pinch boot in six new versions, with elongated shafts and metal "Pinch" hardware, priced from $2,550 to $2,690. The campaign features Kaia Gerber, according to The Zoe Report.
Reissuing a hit is a familiar move for a luxury house, and it works for a reason. A cult product is a piece of the brand's memory that shoppers already carry. Changing the shaft and the hardware keeps that memory intact while giving loyal buyers a reason to want another pair.
Six versions at one price band keeps the launch tidy: one silhouette, one message, one range on the tag. It also gives the house six chances to catch a different taste without asking a shopper to learn a new shoe.
The open question is whether the boot can carry the label's next chapter or only remind people of the last one. A reissue proves the archive still sells. Proof that the new direction sells takes a season longer.
