IGT Rebrands Mid-Expo, Betting Its New Look Says "Software" Instead of "Slot Machine"
A cleaner logo and a "casino as a service" pitch arrive right as IGT tries to convince investors it is a technology company wearing a gaming company's old clothes.

IGT used the opening of the 2026 Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas to unveil a full rebrand: new logo, new visual identity, and a corporate line that positions the company as a technology and content business rather than a maker of slot cabinets. CEO Hector Fernandez said the company "felt like we needed to reimagine what the company looked like," calling the new identity "modern, sleek, to give our customers the vision of what we're trying to accomplish."
The repositioning goes deeper than a new typeface. Fernandez framed the strategy as "casino as a service versus just individualized products," a pitch built around integrated casino-floor solutions, new gaming products like Advantage X, and fintech and cashless-payment capabilities the company picked up through Apollo Global Management's acquisition merging IGT with Everi.
Gaming trade press covers rebrands like this as routine expo news, but the timing makes it something closer to a strategy announcement with a new logo attached. IGT is no longer just trying to sell casinos hardware, it is trying to convince them, and its own investors, that it belongs in the same sentence as the fintech and software companies now circling the gaming floor.
