Klaviyo Acquires Elias Torres' AI Startup Agency
Publicly traded e-commerce automation platform Klaviyo has bought Agency, an AI-powered customer success startup, and named founder Elias Torres chief product officer.
Klaviyo has agreed to acquire Agency, a three-year-old AI-powered customer success startup founded by Elias Torres. The deal brings Torres back together with Klaviyo CEO Andrew Bialecki, whom Torres once hired as an engineer at Performable.
Torres will join Klaviyo as chief product officer and lead Agency's team to accelerate the company's AI agents, including Composer for marketing campaigns and Customer Agent for post-sale support. Klaviyo said the acquisition will help merchants automate more of the customer journey while keeping a human-like tone.
