Krispy Kreme Signs Up for 33 More Shops Across New York, Because Six Was Not Enough
The doughnut chain inked a new franchise deal with Original Entrepreneurs to blanket the New York metro area over the next five years.

Krispy Kreme signed a new franchise agreement with Original Entrepreneurs to open 33 shops across the New York metro area over the next five years, the company confirmed this week. The deal marks another expansion push into one of the country's densest, most doughnut-saturated media markets, building on the chain's existing New York City footprint.
Krispy Kreme has leaned hard into franchise partnerships to fund rapid growth in recent years, a strategy that trades margin for speed. Thirty-three shops in five years works out to roughly one new store every seven weeks, either an aggressive bet on New Yorkers' appetite for glazed doughnuts or a very confident read on Original Entrepreneurs' real estate pipeline. Either way, the Hot Light sign is about to get a lot more company.
