Giant Eagle's Market District Gets a New Story: Moroch Launches "Discover Great Taste"
Agency Moroch rolls out a rebrand campaign for Giant Eagle's Market District banner, repositioning the upscale grocery format around curated inspiration instead of weekly deals.

Giant Eagle is giving its fancier sibling a new voice. Dallas-based agency Moroch has launched "Discover Great Taste," a rebrand campaign for the Market District grocery banner that aims to move the format from a nicer place to shop into a place to be inspired.
The campaign leans on curation — chef-driven prepared foods, specialty ingredients, the treasure-hunt psychology that Trader Joe's built into a religion and Whole Foods monetized for Amazon. The pitch to shoppers is that discovery, not discounts, is the reason to drive past three other grocery stores.
It's a notable swing for a regional grocer at a moment when the middle of the market is getting squeezed from both ends: value players like Aldi expanding aggressively on price while premium formats capture the affluent food-obsessed shopper. Market District is explicitly choosing the top of that barbell.
For Moroch, the win adds a marquee grocery rebrand to a retail-heavy roster and signals that regional banners, not just national chains, are willing to spend on brand position rather than weekly circulars.
