Nielsen to Acquire DoubleVerify in $2.15 Billion Cash Deal
Nielsen has agreed to buy ad-verification platform DoubleVerify for $13.60 per share, a 30% premium and a major consolidation in media measurement.
Nielsen Holdings and DoubleVerify announced a definitive agreement under which Nielsen will acquire DoubleVerify in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $2.15 billion. DoubleVerify shareholders will receive $13.60 per share, representing a 30% premium to the 60-day volume-weighted average price.
Nielsen CEO Karthik Rao said the combination will connect trusted audience intelligence with verified media delivery across every screen and channel, creating a single currency that scores media on both audience delivery and environment quality. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
