On Zips Zendaya Into Python Print for Round Two of Action-Movie Cosplay

The brand's second co-created collection trades minimalist basics for bungee cords, a custom snake print, and a Mary Jane running shoe built like gear, backed by a short film that plays like a trailer for a movie that doesn't exist.

On and Zendaya are two collections into a partnership that increasingly looks less like a celebrity collab and more like a product line with a very famous creative director. The Swiss running brand unveiled its second co-created capsule on October 1, 2026, backed by a short film from Argentine directing duo Pantera that borrows every visual cue from a 1990s action movie: parking garages, slow-motion sprints, and a wardrobe that looks built for a chase scene rather than a trail run.

The collection itself leans into that theatricality. Oversized crewnecks and sweatpants come with ruching and bungee cord detailing, there's a form-fitting long sleeve top and a half-zip anorak, and the centerpiece is a custom python print bodysuit that Zendaya says "acts like a modern camo." The redesigned Cloudnova Moon Mary Jane returns in three new colorways, pairing an engineered knit upper with On's speed-lace system, a shoe built to look like a sneaker and a dress shoe lost an argument. Stylist Law Roach, who co-designed the line, framed it as bringing "personality and love of print to technical fabrics," which is agency-speak for "we got bored of beige."

Pop-up activations are landing in Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo, and Chengdu, which tells you exactly who On thinks is buying this. This is a brand that signed Kylian Mbappé into an equity stake a few weeks back and is now running a recurring celebrity-designed product line on an annual drumbeat. That's not a one-off collab, that's a content calendar, and it's a smart one: On gets fashion credibility it couldn't buy with performance marketing alone, and Zendaya gets to keep proving she can design more than press-tour outfits. The real test is whether round three still feels like a movie, or starts to feel like a merch drop with better lighting.
