Peloton Bets Its Cheapest Treadmill on Miley Cyrus
The Tread Flex is Peloton's first foldable treadmill, and the hardware launch is really a cover version of the brand's new "Let Yourself Run" campaign, built entirely around one Cyrus single.

Peloton launched the Tread Flex on Monday, September 22, 2026, its first foldable treadmill and the most affordable machine in a reimagined Tread lineup that also includes the Tread Vision and Tread+ Vision. The hardware announcement doubles as a rebrand moment: it arrives inside "Let Yourself Run," the next chapter of Peloton's "Let Yourself Go" platform, fronted by Miley Cyrus.
The 60-second hero spot, directed by Bethany Vargas, rolls out today across television, streaming, online video, and social in the US and Canada, set to a new single off Cyrus's tenth studio album. Cyrus is cast as an authentic member rather than a paid face, saying in the spot that "movement is essential for me... it's something that enhances any performance that I do." A Miley Artist Series of on-platform classes follows in early October, giving the tie-in a life beyond the media buy.
The more interesting move is the language shift. Chief Marketing Officer Megan Imbres framed the launch as a break from the brand's own instincts: "We're moving away from high-pressure optimization and data obsession towards an era of optimism." That is a real reversal for a company built on leaderboards and output metrics, and it arrives as Peloton tries to widen its buyer base beyond the hardcore data-driven early adopter with a cheaper, foldable product built for a more casual runner.
