Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Is Now TATA.CARS
India's biggest homegrown carmaker has rebranded its passenger-vehicle arm as TATA.CARS — legal name unchanged, but a fresh consumer identity rolling out across showrooms, screens and everything in between.

One of India''s most valuable consumer names just got shorter, sharper and a lot more dot-com.
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles has rebranded as TATA.CARS, a new consumer-facing identity announced Saturday. The legal company name stays the same, but consumers will see the fresh look everywhere — dealerships, digital, advertising and beyond. The marque''s existing nameplates, including Nexon, Punch, Harrier, Safari and Curvv, carry over unchanged, as does the familiar Tata ellipse logo.
The move is a classic corporate-architecture play: keep the trust baked into the Tata Motors name, but give the passenger-car business its own modern, ownable noun as it battles for share in the world''s third-largest auto market — and pushes harder into EVs, where clean, digital-first branding travels further than legacy badging.
Rebrands of this scale are rarely about the logo; they''re about signaling intent. By trading "Motors Passenger Vehicles" for "CARS," Tata Motors is telling consumers, investors and rivals that the passenger business wants to be judged as a consumer brand — not a division. The rollout now begins across one of the largest dealer networks in India, where the new wordmark will be tested in the only focus group that matters: the showroom floor.
