JW Anderson Puts Penny Loafers on UGG's Classic Boot, Because Shearling Should Not Have All the Fun

UGG and JW Anderson released their first collaboration on October 15, reworking UGG's Classic Boot and Tasman silhouettes with details borrowed from a penny loafer: moccasin-stitched toes, a forefoot strap, and visible box stitching across suede uppers lined in soft fur. Both styles come in Chestnut, Khaki, and Orange, colors Anderson selected himself, with co-branded tags marking the heel and ankle collar.

"UGGs are instantly recognisable, and I was interested in seeing something so familiar through the lens of JW Anderson," Anderson said of the project. The Loafer runs $300 and the Loafer Boot $400, both in unisex sizing, available through JW Anderson, UGG, and select retailers online and in stores.

It's the latest in a string of collaborations for Anderson, who has spent the past few seasons putting his signature twist on other people's icons, including past partnerships with Converse, Guinness, and Uniqlo. Pairing a cult-favorite comfort boot with a designer best known for elevating the mundane is squarely on brand for both sides.
