Whirlpool India Dusts Off Its Jingle to Sell a Four-Door Fridge With Mood Lighting
The three-film "Simply Peerless" campaign modernizes Whirlpool's classic tune to convince Indian shoppers that a four-door refrigerator with "Quad Theatre Lighting" is a lifestyle decision, not an appliance purchase.

Whirlpool of India unveiled a three-film advertising campaign this week for its Luxuriem range of premium four-door refrigerators, built around the tagline "Simply Peerless" and a modernized version of the brand's classic jingle. The films lean on slice-of-life storytelling, dropping three everyday Indian family scenarios into the campaign instead of the usual spec-sheet product demo.
The creative, developed by Creativeland Asia in Delhi under executive creative director Ketki Karandikar, is meant to sell shoppers on features like Freshness Detection Technology, a convertible compartment that swaps between freezer and fridge, and what Whirlpool is calling Obsidian Interiors with Quad Theatre Lighting. Nakul Tewari, vice president of marketing at Whirlpool of India, said the campaign reflects a philosophy where "true luxury is not defined by complexity or excess, but by experiences that intuitively understand how people live." The spots are running across digital, social, and OTT platforms.
It is a notably softer sell than the spec war that usually defines appliance advertising, betting that showing a family actually living with the fridge does more work than another close-up of a compressor. Whether "Quad Theatre Lighting" becomes a phrase anyone outside a product spec sheet repeats is, as always, the whole gamble.
