Chef Boyardee announced a new national brand campaign on September 15, closing out a year in which the nearly century-old pantry staple has been quietly rebuilding what it sells rather than merely how it talks.

The work, "NOW WE'RE CHEFFIN'," rolls out nationally through September across connected TV, display, social, and retail media. Its job is to carry the year's product news: a major NASCAR partnership that put the brand back on a national stage, an entry into dry meals with Skillet Meals, and Protein Canned Pasta lines carrying at least 25 grams of protein per can.

That last item is the strategic center. Protein is the label claim currently reorganizing the center store, and a brand built on affordable, shelf-stable comfort food is unusually well placed to answer it — provided anyone under 40 believes the aisle still has something to offer them. Since joining Hometown Food Company in 2025, Chef Boyardee has moved fast on exactly that premise.

The equity was never in doubt. Nearly a century of Italian-American heritage, trust, and familiarity is the kind of asset most challenger brands spend a fortune trying to manufacture. The open question is whether a campaign can convert nostalgia into a weekday dinner decision, and "NOW WE'RE CHEFFIN'" is at least aimed at the right moment.

Sonos has launched "Love the Sound. Feel the System," a global brand campaign built in house that trades audiophile spec sheets for hand-drawn craft, and quietly repositions the company around the whole-home system rather than the box on the shelf.
