H-E-B Buys the Star
The San Antonio grocer becomes the exclusive grocery and pharmacy partner of the Dallas Cowboys, stapling one Texas icon to another for multiple seasons.
Two of the most trusted logos in Texas just agreed to appear together.
H-E-B has been named the exclusive grocery and pharmacy partner of the Dallas Cowboys in a multi-year deal that spans in-stadium presence, commercials, merchandise, ticket access and community programming across the season.
Category exclusivity is the valuable part. Grocery is a weekly habit, football is a weekly ritual, and pairing them gives H-E-B a reason to show up in the one media environment Texans still watch live and together. Pharmacy riding along in the same deal quietly markets the higher-margin service most shoppers never think about until they need it.
For the Dallas Cowboys, the most commercially aggressive franchise in American sport, the partner profile matters more than the cheque. H-E-B consistently ranks among the most beloved brands in the state — it does not need the Cowboys for awareness, which makes the affinity read as mutual rather than transactional.
The move also extends the grocer's reach north. H-E-B has pushed into the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex against entrenched competition from Walmart, Kroger and Costco, and there is no faster way to signal that you belong in North Texas than to stand next to the star.
