Prada Turns Its Holiday Campaign Into a Hand-Drawn Heist, and the Mice Are Winning

Prada's Holiday 2026 campaign, titled "Drawing Prada," pairs photography with old-school, hand-drawn animation, dropping its ambassadors into winter scenes populated by illustrated creatures. Maya Hawke gets trailed by a cynical fox, Sadie Sink gets robbed by a gang of mice who make off with her Prada shoes, and Chen Haoyu is chased by a snow lynx that wants her bag. Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Luther Ford round out the cast, with Ford's leather accessories getting mobbed by rabbits and bats.

The project was shot by photographer Glen Luchford and animated under director John Pomeroy, whose credits include Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too, Pocahontas, and Fantasia 2000, meaning Prada just hired someone who helped define hand-drawn animation's golden era to draw woodland creatures stealing designer accessories.

It's a deliberate throwback at a moment when most fashion holiday campaigns default to AI-polished CGI or straightforward product shots. Prada is betting that pairing real craft with real actors reads as more premium than anything a prompt could generate, and given how much of luxury marketing right now is a referendum on whether a brand still has a human hand in it, that bet looks pretty calculated.
